Make the Decision and Then Make the Decision Right
Oct 31, 2024If just making a decision to do something were enough to achieve it, there would be a lot more accomplished than there is. But sadly, when all is said and done, there is a lot more said, than done.
Talk and planning are cheap. It’s doing what needs to be done to do what you need to do that makes all the difference. Many years ago, I heard a line that has guided me profitably ever since… Make a decision and then make the decision right. It works everywhere. Commit and then do what it takes to make your decision a winner. Leave nothing to chance.
THAT’s how to achieve greatly. You make the decision to achieve a goal, or complete a project, or agree to a contract, and then you do what it takes to ensure the decision works out. Putting a nice picture of the finished product on your vision board and then waiting for it to manifest itself is a new age path to nowhere. Instead, make things manifest themselves; don’t wait for them to.
Wishing is a fool’s game. If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride or… If Ifs and buts were candies and nuts, then everyone would have a merry Christmas. But beggars walk and sadly not everyone who wishes for a merry Christmas is satisfied. So, pray to God but keep rowing to shore. Do your part and then some.
Make your decision then make it right by doing what it takes to achieve that goal quickly, complete that project on time, and make the contract pay off.
