World-renowned Canadian Life Insurance Icon, Jim Ruta Inducted into International Financial Hall of Fame

Jim Ruta, keynote speaker, coach, best-selling author, and president of Advisorcraft Global in Burlington, Ontario Canada has been recognized for his exceptional dedication and lasting influence on the financial and insurance industries as a recipient of the Lifetime Contribution Award from both the international Financial Hall of Fame® and the Canadian Insurance Hall of Fame®. His award was officially presented at the inaugural Financial Hall of Fame® induction ceremony, Friday, March 28th, 2025, in Victoria, BC, Canada.
This distinguished honour recognizes Jim’s unwavering commitment, forward-thinking leadership, and remarkable achievements that have left a profound impact on the industry, inspiring both peers and future generations. Throughout his career, his innovation, integrity, and steadfast dedication to industry progress and financial education made him truly deserving of this prestigious recognition.
"My only goal has been to help others - help others since I started in 1978, and it is gratifying to be recognized for the effort. My late mother teared up when I told her I wanted to be a life insurance agent, but I know that she and Dad would be proud.” said Ruta accepting his award.
Mr. Ruta received his awards along with other industry pioneers, professionals, and thought leaders from around the world who have also played a pivotal role in shaping the global financial and insurance landscape. This recognition is a testament to his remarkable career and the enduring legacy he has built.
He went on to say, “I feel like the turtle who finds himself on top of a fence post – he knows he didn’t get there by himself. Neither have I. I have been blessed with great leaders, mentors, associates, clients, and colleagues to guide me. I praise God for this blessing and share this recognition with my family who have always supported my passion for the noble profession of selling life insurance. And of course, none of this would be possible without the love and support of my wonderful wife, Rhonda.”
